Aesthetic gynaecology — for a woman's full life

Aesthetic, reconstructive gynaecology is a fairly new, smart field of gynaecology that successfully addresses the anatomical and functional changes and disorders of sexual health that appear over the course of a woman's life. More and more patients are taking care of the aesthetic aspects of their sexual health and looking for specialists with skills and experience in this field. Why is aesthetic gynaecology an important field for women?

Aesthetic gynaecology addresses many intimate-zone problems, so it's undoubtedly an excellent way to improve the quality of your sexual and general life.

What is aesthetic gynaecology?

The concept of “women's health” has changed these days – now, when we talk about a woman's quality lifestyle, it's important to emphasise and maintain good sexual health too.

Aesthetic gynaecology is a field of general gynaecology that emphasises not only sexual diseases and their treatment but also a better quality of intimate life, higher self-esteem, love for one's body and pleasant experiences.

Aesthetic gynaecology includes surgical and cosmetic procedures such as, for example, surgical operations on intimate areas. After these procedures, women can have post-birth inconveniences (urinary incontinence) restored, the labia corrected or the vagina's moisture balance renewed.

Aesthetic gynaecology isn't limited to these procedures alone – a good number of cosmetic corrections can also be done to improve the skin of the intimate area, give it firmness and so on.

What problems does aesthetic gynaecology address?

According to our clinic's specialist, gynaecologist Inga Rudzikienė, many women don't dare admit the most intimate problems they face, thinking that no treatment exists to solve them.

Still, several groups of problems can be singled out that aesthetic gynaecology addresses best. Firstly, these are changes to the genitals – congenital defects, those appearing after childbirth, with age or after weight loss, as well as genital asymmetry, hyperpigmentation, hypotrophy and loss of firmness.

Another group is the condition of the genitals. Here the most important indicators are sensitivity or reduced sensitivity (after childbirth), the consequences of cuts and tears after childbirth, and the balance of dryness and moisture.

Aesthetic gynaecology also addresses urinary incontinence and genital rash problems.

What procedures are carried out?

The most popular cosmetic procedures carried out in aesthetic gynaecology are hyaluronic acid injections.
