Endodontic treatment is the treatment of the canals in the roots of a tooth. It is needed when the teeth are severely damaged and the infection has reached deeper tooth tissues or even the bone. Endodontics can be primary, when the tissues of the tooth canals and the microorganisms that have entered them are removed, or secondary - when the existing unsuitable filling in the canals and the microorganisms that caused the infection are removed, and the canals are then filled anew.
Endodontic treatment is most often needed in the presence of the following symptoms:
- severe toothache;
- tooth pain when biting;
- constant aching of the tooth;
- swelling or an abscess in the mucosa next to the tooth.
To achieve the best results, before endodontic treatment it is necessary to remove all the tissues damaged by caries and restore the walls of the tooth. And after endodontic treatment, the tooth crown must be restored with a strong restoration by crowning it.
At our clinic, endodontists work using a microscope and the highest-quality certified materials, and they assess the work done during treatment on X-rays.
