Attention, dear patients!
AND klinika has concluded agreements with the Territorial Patient Funds on the provision of dental prosthetics for senior citizens. The costs of dental prosthetics services are reimbursed from the PSDF (Compulsory Health Insurance Fund) budget, based on the actual dental prosthetics costs, once the dental prosthetics have been fully completed.
Changes in 2021:
- There is no longer a waiting list for prosthetics services. This means that your dentist will check whether you can receive reimbursement, fill in all the necessary documents and enter your information into the system, and will issue you a document with which dental prosthetics work can begin immediately at AND klinika.
- You no longer need to register the document received from the dentist and do not need to wait for any letter from the Patient Fund.
- A person can receive reimbursed dental prosthetics services only at a medical institution that has an agreement with the TLK. It is no longer possible for patients to receive dental prosthetics services at any dental institution, paying the costs from their own funds and later applying to the TLK for reimbursement.
- The amounts and conditions of reimbursement have not changed.
- If you want to receive a larger reimbursement for prosthetics, a doctors' consultation panel is still required. The further stages are all the same.

In accordance with the Description of the Procedure for the Provision of Dental Prosthetics Services and the Reimbursement of Costs from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (hereinafter - PSDF) budget, at AND klinika the right to dental prosthetics reimbursed from the PSDF budget is held by patients who have reached retirement age and are covered by compulsory health insurance.
A person entitled to receive reimbursed dental prosthetics services and for whom the justification for dental prosthetics has been established will no longer need to write an application to be added to the waiting list, wait for confirmation from the territorial patient funds (TLK) about their inclusion, etc.
The person will be immediately informed about acquiring the right to receive reimbursed dental prosthetics services - the institution will have to issue an informational notice confirming this, and the person will be able to apply to a chosen medical institution that has an agreement with the TLK.
From 1 April 2020, the costs of dental prosthetics services for senior citizens are reimbursed from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (PSDF) budget based on the actual costs of these services, allocating no more than (1 point of the base price equals EUR 1.112):
- For pensioners who have fewer than 10 functionally full-value contacting natural or high-quality prosthetic antagonist tooth pairs from the first molar to the first molar on the other side, and for those diagnosed with pathological wear of all teeth greater than grade II (more than 1/3 of the tooth crown height) - up to 504.81 points (up to EUR 561.35);
- For pensioners whose edentulous lower jaw in the area of teeth 4, 5, 6 is less than 12 mm in height - up to 1,553.24 points (up to EUR 1,727.20 - determined by a consultation panel);
- Also for other patients: for children whose masticatory system is still developing, when prosthetics are made with temporary dentures made of polymers polymerised in a laboratory or dental office, or with standard protective metal crowns - up to 257.63 points (up to EUR 286.49); for children whose masticatory system is essentially formed, when prosthetics use dentures of long-lasting structural materials - up to 1,553.24 points (up to EUR 1,727.20 - determined by a consultation panel); for persons who have been treated for an oncological disease of the mouth, face and jaws, if after the applied specific (radiation and/or chemotherapy) treatment there are fewer than 10 functionally full-value contacting natural or high-quality prosthetic antagonist tooth pairs in the oral cavity from the first molar to the first molar on the other side - up to 504.81 points (up to EUR 561.35);
A patient who, in 2020, wrote an application to be added to the waiting list and received confirmation from the territorial patient funds (TLK) about their inclusion is admitted under the old procedure.
Having received a TLK certificate, the person comes to one of the personal health care institutions that has concluded an agreement with the TLK and, together with the dentist, agrees in writing on the time, scope, plan and other conditions for the provision of dental prosthetics services. During one dental prosthetics stage (the period during which the person receives all the dental prosthetics services agreed with the dentist), a minimum masticatory function must be restored. Dental prosthetics services must be provided within 3 years from the date of issue of the TLK certificate.
Please note that:
- The need for reimbursement of the service for the maximum possible amount (up to EUR 1,553.24) is in all cases determined by a doctors' consultation panel.
- If you have been treated for an oncological disease of the mouth, face and jaws, teeth are fitted with prosthetics without a queue.
- Applications to receive reimbursement for dental prosthetics services performed at one's own expense out of turn (when seeking to receive it faster or to postpone the term of its granting) are not granted.
- If the actual dental prosthetics costs were higher than the established reimbursable amount, the person must pay the remaining part themselves.
Patients can be re-entered on the list no earlier than 3 years after the date of reimbursement of dental prosthetics services.
