Travel during COVID-19: how to holiday safely?
The considerably prolonged coronavirus has thrown many people's travel and holiday plans into disarray. Despite the pandemic situation, life doesn't stop, so more and more people are setting off on planned trips beyond Lithuania. What should you do to ensure not only good holiday impressions but also your own safety and that of your loved ones?
You must do your homework.
Specialists note that, despite the restrictions, the desire to travel has grown. At the same time, the number of travel offers is increasing too. But in the face of COVID-19, crossing the border is somewhat more complicated than before and requires advance preparation. What does travel abroad look like, and what homework must travellers do?
It's important to note that when planning to travel by plane, the usual flight documents won't be enough. You can only travel by presenting a negative PCR, TMA, RT-LAMP or other test of the same level of reliability with a certificate prepared in English. The test must be done no later than 72 hours before the flight. When flying to most countries, no exceptions apply, i.e. everyone must take a test, including children from the age of 6, regardless of whether they've been vaccinated or have had COVID-19.
When travelling to many countries, a special QR code must also be presented at the airport. This is obtained by filling in a special traveller's form online and is generated 72 hours before the flight.
Don't be put off by these requirements and postpone your trip! At AND klinika we provide these services for travellers:
- Rapid tests – we do rapid antigen, antibody and PCR tests. The test will be painless, and you'll find out the result very soon!
- Certificates – we prepare special certificates in English, meeting all international standards, about the tests done, which you'll be able to present at the airport.
Travel safely! Take your tests and get your certificate at AND klinika!
